Then decided to put my favorite fictional character through this. *claps*
Xena is badly injured going through the gauntlet. Never runs in with Hercules and Iolus. She’s on her path towards redemption but a much slower one. She wanders through the wilderness alone too long and doesn’t meet Gabrielle until a year later. Xena isn’t there to save Gabrielle and her family. And Gabrielle isn’t there to give Xena a reason to keep working for the greater good.
