Why? his only companion and maiden was slaughtered by Subaru's own allies... In Grief, Subaru chose to destroy the world...
Now standing at the Entrance of the burning Erdtree only one man stands between him and his final goal to become The Lord of Frenzied Flames... That would be, if fate didn't have other plans...

Simply, Subaru replaces Vyke in the world and was taught by Midra, Messmer, EVERY SINGLE DRAGON (including Placidusax and Bayle and all dragons from the DLC), to use their powers
