He had to check, had to reassure himself, so he crossed the room and put a hand on House’s ankle, poking out from under the blankets. Solid and real and alive. Here with him. House wiggled his toes a little, and Wilson flushed, embarrassed to be caught, but the snarky comment he'd anticipated never arrived. “Go back to sleep, Wilson,” House murmured, eyes still closed, and that was it.
