Apparently, it’s common knowledge that Iwaizumi and Oikawa are dating. Well, to everyone except Iwaizumi and Oikawa.
And the proposal definitely wasn’t helping their case. Though, it really was just meant to be a joke. A very horrible, spur-of-the-moment, and totally un-Iwaizumi-like joke. And now everyone thinks they’re engaged. Like for real.
Or; it takes an accidental engagement for Iwaizumi to realize he’s in love with Oikawa

Summary
Tooru is holding the boy’s left hand with both of his own scraped-up hands, and then he sees the thin red string that hangs loosely between them. On Tooru’s left hand, the red string is tied to his ring finger in a little bow. And the other end of that string is tied the exact same way on the boy’s own ring finger.
Tooru lifts his gaze to the boy’s face, who’s still looking down at the string that joins their two hands together, “I’m Oikawa Tooru – and apparently we’re soulmates.”
The boy looks up at Tooru then, the same unenthusiastic look still stuck on his face as he starts to pull his hand away from Tooru’s, “Iwaizumi Hajime. It’s nice to meet you.”

Hajime considers denying it. He considers deliberately choking on his drink to express surprise, to create a distraction by spitting onto the man in front of him's pristine white shirt and causing a commotion. Instead, he swallows his mouthful of soda and heaves a small sigh once his mouth is free.
"Yeah," he says instead.
He's never been good at lying, anyway.

Summary
Blade-Three, also known as Three, is the living weapon of the Watchers. Conditioned to follow orders, it is meant to use its considerable strength, combat abilities, and total loyalty to obliterate the enemies of the Watchers. Of course, the "following orders" part comes first, which is how, when Listener agent Martyn InTheLittleWood comes along with the right command words, he manages to steal it.
Now, instead of missions that make any sense, Three must navigate as Martyn and his roommate Jimmy attempt to teach it how to be human, or at least enough of a person to be itself. It would help if either Martyn or Jimmy knew how to be human either, and if they weren't falling apart at the seams after the death of an old friend.
(And of course, there's the matter of Three's original identity, a question no one thinks to ask...)
Or: in which Evo had a bad end, and five years later, the pieces that were left behind start to accidentally fall back together.
