Summary
Serena can't get the boy she kissed a few years ago out of her head so she travels to Kanto to confess her love. When she gets there, she becomes a research fellow and begins to travel around the world with Ash and Goh.
Goh has a crush on Ash for a while but doesn't know how to tell him. He's a blushing mess and almost everyone knows of his crush except for the boy he loves. Then Serena comes along and he realises how close the two are together.
Serena and Goh tell each other that they have a crush on Ash and immediately become rivals.

“An-chan?” Kohane calls softly as she slips her shoes off in the entryway; typically, An would come rushing out as soon as she hears the door open, eager to greet Kohane and babble about her day. Today, though… nothing. The apartment is silent. Unnerving.
She glances through the bedroom and bathroom doors as she passes, but still, nothing. She might have gone out, but An always texts if she isn’t home. Kohane frowns softly as she turns to the living room.
“An-chan… ah.”

An and Kohane are content in their life together, with their little apartment and a shrine for Nagi tucked in the corner of their living room. An isn't always okay, but Kohane will always be there to help her.

May’s never heard of anything like this. She’s heard of pokemon, like mew, who are genderless, but that’s a product of the species. Humans aren’t genderless, they’re either boys or girls, and so this doesn’t make sense to May, but at the same time it feels so, so right. It makes that tight part of her chest unclench, and she feels slightly warm all over, and she didn’t know this was a thing but now she does and it just feels so right.
She’s spacing off again, she realizes, but the woman is still just looking down at her patiently, kindly, and she feels so loved by this stranger that she’s completely overwhelmed. That’s the only reason why she lets the words that are pressing at her lips come out of her mouth. “...Am I my own thing?” she asks, in barely a whisper.

Then she had seen how far Serena had fallen for Ash, and well. For some reason she didn’t like that.
