Summary
For the briefest, loveliest moment, Klavier convinces himself that maybe Apollo hasn’t noticed anything at all. And maybe he hasn’t. But it doesn’t really matter once Apollo gets into Klavier’s car, buckles his seatbelt, and reclines his seat with a practiced ease that doesn’t belong to Apollo. He crosses his legs, tapping away at his phone, and Klavier can’t stop sneaking glances at him.
“You’re being obvious, you know,” Apollo quips about five minutes into the drive, not looking at him.
Klavier’s hands tighten around the wheel. “Ach, am I?”
“Mhmm.” It’s the ease, almost laziness, with which he says it. Like he couldn’t care less if Klavier was or wasn’t looking. Klavier’s stomach swoops.
Or: Klavier discovers that Apollo has a half-sleeve tattoo. It makes sense that this leads to Apollo railing him, right?

this is a FANTASTIC fic. gobsmacking fucking breathtaking edge of seat fic. its a quarter of a million words of good old fashioned fucking heat. goddamn! ugh everything about this rules but the truly standout part is definitely the slowly unraveling serial killer mystery. so. fucking. good. every new piece of the puzzle was like a fucking revelation. somehow it was wildly compelling even though you know exactly whodunnit from the beginning. okay and even just that would make this great, but there’s the fucking stellar character writing, being in apollo’s head especially is delightful, he’s so disgruntled about everything all the time i love it. and the dialogue is so snappy and witty and packed with subtext there were a few scenes i had to read twice just to fully appreciate them. god, and the details. this fic was thought out and researched, i can smell the 40 page word doc behind it. the trial at the end was fucking delicious. god and that’s not even to mention the d/s shit that gradually builds up and then comes to a head, just perfectly tied in with everything and the amount of care that’s taken with the boys’ emotional states and reactions through the whole story. i swear to god, it’s like i was there!! this rules. this is fucking fire. this is so kickass

i scream laughed at several points. god nothing hits like lawyer yaoi i don’t know what it is about it that just hits different but it hits different. i especially loved the train of emotional bathroom conversations with words like ‘circumspect,’ fucking killer, truly. i love all these people dearly
