Harry Potter has magical power that has never been seen before, an ever growing gang of powerful and brilliant allies, and enough cunning and strength to face whatever comes his way this year.
Unfortunately, Harry Potter also has mental illness, a tendency for idiocy, powerful enemies, and a reckless streak that has taken at least ten years off Severus Snape’s lifespan so far- so Severus enters the year with more reservations than his foolish ward does.
Alliances will be tested, lines will be drawn, and Hogwarts is beginning to feel like a battlefield more than a school.
Which, in Harry’s opinion, is perfectly brill.

Summary

Summary
Modern & muggle London. James Potter and Sirius Black are detectives, looking to bring to justice those responsible for Remus Lupin's murder. With Greyback on the run, they can't do much but follow whatever leads they may have from the Death Eaters crime organization. Nothing new comes up until a new set of murders catches the detectives' attention. A brilliant killer is leaving notes for them, murdering notable criminals and mocking the police department. This brings Remus back from the dead after 4 years.
Little do they know Sirius' estranged brother, Regulus (and his friends) are behind these crimes. James accidentally goes undercover, Regulus has a plan. But he did not take into account falling for his brother's handsome and charming best friend.
OR
James and Sirius try to solve the murders, find out Remus is alive, and James inevitably falls in love with Regulus.
