Summary
A year ago Monika destroyed the servers of the Harakiri Labs where she worked and released the Experiments. She escaped with the help of her friend Rami, one of the Experiments, and 800 a friend and fellow Experiment of Rami. The lab drained money into hunting and killing the escaped Experiments, so much so that they, supposedly, went bankrupt.
A year later, Rami now living with Monika, shows up hurt badly, setting into effect a chain of events, that will test both their friendship and mental stability.

Summary
It is Pearl Gill's mission to ban single-use plastics in the cafeteria before the end of her junior year. While recruiting new members for the Environmental Club, her crush from calculus class, Rose Diamond, joins and starts asking Pearl to hang out after school. As their relationship develops Pearl must deal with her conservative father who is a pastor and the class divide between her and the much wealthier Rose.

“I can’t see what will happen next,” Future says, overwhelmed. “There are too many possibilities.”
“We’re in the middle of nowhere,” Past points out, sour and sad. “What possibilities could there be?”
Pulled along like the tides behind the moon, Past and Future scud cloudy through the overgrown brush of the yard and linger outside the door. Rose is inside already. They don’t need to see her or hear her to know.
