Summary of Ashes of the Flame

Enji Todoroki, once the proud and relentless Number One Hero, has lost everything that mattered. His wife and children have left him, severing all ties after years of emotional and physical abuse. The Todoroki home is empty, the echoes of their lives replaced by silence and regret. Consumed by guilt, Enji drowns himself in work and alcohol, refusing to confront the wreckage of his past.

Nine months later, his downward spiral is interrupted by an unexpected delivery—a small boy with messy green hair, wide, innocent eyes, and a note claiming the child is his. Conceived during one of Enji’s drunken nights at a bar, the boy is now his responsibility, left with no one else to care for him.

Faced with the fragile life of this child, Enji is forced to confront the man he has become. As he struggles to connect with the boy and reconcile with his failures as a father, he begins to wonder if redemption is possible—or if the flames of his past have already consumed everything.

In Ashes of the Flame, the story of a broken hero unfolds as Enji learns that rebuilding a family might not be about reclaiming the past, but forging a new future from the ashes.

    Summary

Crimson Chains: The Cursed Blood of Izuku Midoriya

Izuku Midoriya stopped caring a long time ago.

Raised by Hisashi and Inko Midoriya, two of the most feared Yakuza operatives, he learned early that trust was worthless and survival meant obedience. Used as bait, a distraction, and a tool for their crimes, he never had a choice—until his parents failed a mission, got caught, and left him to take the fall. The Yakuza put a hit out on him, and the heroes who caught him saw nothing but a criminal in the making.

Instead of prison, they threw him into U.A.’s Criminal Rehabilitation Program, forcing him to “reform” among the same heroes he despised. But Izuku has no interest in proving himself—what’s the point? He’s not a hero, and he never will be.

He keeps his head down, follows orders just enough to avoid trouble, and waits for it all to blow over. But when whispers of the Crimson Chains—the last remnants of the Yakuza—reach his ears, and Hisashi Midoriya himself resurfaces, things get complicated.

Hisashi wants him back. The heroes want to fix him. Izuku just wants to be left alone.

But in a world that won’t stop pulling him in different directions, apathy might not be an option anymore.
