Summary

After his recent adventure, Sonic finds himself dealing with crippling loneliness as his friends are doing their own thing. And with Eggman seemingly missing, Sonic struggles with how to spend the free time he yearned for so badly.
Meanwhile, Infinite mysteriously returns and attempts to keep a low profile until he figures out his next plan. While he is unsure of his strategy, one thing is for certain: he needs his Phantom Ruby back. Like Sonic, he finds himself dealing with loneliness and boredom. While these feelings are nothing new for Infinite, the emotional impact is worse than usual.
Inevitably, their paths cross yet again on one fateful evening, and they pursue a tragic thrill-seeking love affair. Despite knowing that this relationship didn’t make any sense and was morally wrong, Sonic can’t bring himself to break things off. And despite their bitter history, Infinite would prefer to have his company than be all alone. Both try to continue this shameful affair, as they are just two lonely people trying to hate themselves a little less. Only time will tell if this relationship will last.
