Though Antithesis looked to the sunny sky, her maroon eyes were dim as black holes. “I believe in the good in this world. It operates ordinarily and nonbombastically. You may never hear about it, but please understand we’re all here to propagate that concept.”

Rain strikes a deal with Director Placido and in turn becomes a member of Yliaster. As usual, she had no idea what she was getting into. From learning about the ruined future to infiltrating the rebuilt Arcadia, the missions become intense fast. Their varying beliefs leave her head spinning: Placido’s cynicism about humanity versus Antinomy’s hope for the same, Antithesis’ quiet observations, Paradox’s loud hatred for the card game… and then that person not present yet looming over every decision.
