Christine Blake was, as far as she had long been led to believe, an ordinary child. As far as she knew her mother was an ordinary homemaker. She made her wage selling homemade preserves. Her father, a mechanic who specialised in motorcycles.
This was not entirely true.
When she was eight Christine's mother died. Cyllene Blake took to her grave a rather large secret. Neither Christine nor her father had any idea of this until Christine turned eleven.
The reveal of his secret came in the form of a letter, enveloped in thick, heavy parchment. The direction written in emerald ink. Sealed with purple wax, which had a strange symbol stamped into it.

Andrea Moran was not an ordinary child. Not even close to be perfectly honest.
For one thing, she was a witch.
But even other witches and wizards would consider Andrea and her family incredibly odd. For good reason. So Andrea never expected to be allowed to attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. Parents of other children wouldn't want their children to be trapped in a castle with her.
But she hadn't counted on one thing. Albus Dumbledore. The greatest wizard of the age. He never gave a damn what prejudices other wizards carried. If you had the talent, he would teach you.
And he wanted to teach Andrea.
He gave Andrea a chance she never thought she'd get in her wildest dreams. She was going to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She was going to learn magic. She was going to be a fully qualified witch.

“Astarion…” Halsin murmurs, low and careful.
“Oh, but I do love the way my name sounds on your lips, darling,” Astarion says. “I wonder how it will sound when you’re moaning it.”
“Little star,” he starts carefully. “My affection for you runs as deep and strong as a river,” Halsin assures him. “But I will not take you to my bed to indulge in your body.”
Astarion pulls back as if burnt. “I don’t understand you, druid,” he hisses. “Your reputation for sowing wild oats vastly proceeds you, and you claim to have some desires for me, and yet, you turn down an opportunity to do with me what you wish. You have no idea what you’re saying no to, Halsin. The things I’ve been trained to do would blow your mind.”
(or: now that they're in Baldur's Gate, Halsin just wants to protect Astarion from the people there who want to hurt him. Astarion just wants revenge. And to keep Halsin at arm's length for as long as he can.)

Summary
Halsin and Astarion meet under wildly different circumstances (semi alt u). Multiple chapter work, at my own pace (my first in 10 years so I'm rusty, "bear" with me). Overall work will be spicy, this chapter is SFW. Liberties taken with details of vampire biology and druidic magic.

"I need to get you to shelter, but this wound will not keep. Forgive me, this will hurt." Halsin lays his hands on the man's wounds, his eyes glowing a yellow-white as he channels nature's power into the wound, willing the tissue to grow at a rapid pace and seal shut. Normally this process would take more time, and wouldn't hurt at all, merely aiding and speeding natural healing. But, with daybreak rapidly approaching, there is no time for slow and gentle.The man cries out in pain as the wound seals shut - he suspects it will leave an unsightly scar, but he will survive it. Halsin looks down at the pale vampire; eyes squeezed shut, the pain clear on his face. "I can carry you," he begins to say.
