In the years of 1850 nestled in the North of England, is the large town of L'manburg, a wealthy part of the Essempi. On the borders of this town lived a respectable family known as the Watsons. The family of four are well known and loved. Partially for their kind hearts and friendly manner, but unfortunately mostly for the family wealth. Sir Phillip Watson and his wife, Kristine Watson, have three young boys. The twins, Fitz-William and Alexander Watson, and Thomas, the youngest and the most chaotic of the three. Usually this home is quiet, well, as quiet as it could be with a loud, stubborn blonde child running around the property, but this early evening the entire household is in a panic. Master Clayton Dream had invited them to a rather prestigious ball at his newly finished manor on a very short notice and they had had only a few hours to prepare for the carriage that had been sent to take them there.

Clouds started rolling in as the sun began to set, making the sky darken rapidly. Philza was flying home after a long tiring day, his great obsidian wings stretching out casting a dimming shadow below. All of a sudden, the wind picked up and started to hurl him in all directions, disorienting him. When he eventually regained control once more, it was too late. As soon as he lifted his gaze his face met tree and he fell, hitting every branch on his way down before he landed in a prickly sweet berry bush and blacked out.
