He's amazed by the steadiness of his hand compared to the racing of his pulse, and it's only then he realizes how desperately he’s hoping she'll take it.

Summary
Her fingers skate lightly over his abdomen. The silver-dollar sized mark is flat, the same texture as the rest of his skin, just a few shades darker and with blurred edges, almost like the skin has been scorched.
Burned.
"You know, some cultures believe a birthmark is from a past life, showing how that person was killed." Rey hears the words coming out of her mouth, but it's too late to stop them.
She cringes. What a crazy thing to say.
She must have read it somewhere once, but still. It’s a horrible thought, one she doesn't even wish to linger over, the thought of someone killing Ben… and besides, she doesn’t even believe in the idea of past lives. It’s total nonsense.
Isn't it?
Or: Rey's new boyfriend has a very unique birthmark.

Summary
The bond, Ben is convinced- or the Force, or the lingering remnants of Snoke’s power, or whatever keeps patching them through to each other at the worst possible moment- has a sorry sense of humor.
This, though- walking out of the fresher with a towel around his waist, wearing considerably less than the memorable moment when she had asked him if he had a cowl, or something, only to find her standing next to his bed- might be the worst joke the bond has played to date.
(Someone spikes Rey's drink, and the bond decides this is Ben's problem.)

His voice sinks quiet and low. “I’m afraid you’ll regret this. I don’t—I don’t know how I’d bear it if my soul were joined with yours and you resented me.”

Rey's friends are worried about her after the final battle. All she does is talk to herself inside her new greenhouse. Then Rose is introduced to the most exquisite flower she's ever seen, one that Rey loves dearly for some reason. Will it somehow help her finally heal from the loss of Ben Solo? Or is there more to the beloved plant than a mere eye can see?
