Summary
Regulus nervously sat on the stool. He appeared somewhat calm, but Sirius could see the movement of his hand and the tremor in his throat that indicated otherwise.
Sirius was not worried. He wasn't. Not one bit. Seriously! Not at all. Reggie would go to Slytherin like the rest of the family. Walburga and Orion would be so proud and they wouldn't have another reason to hurt him.
The hat was silent for a while. Regulus closed his eyes. Sirius held his breath.
"Gryffindor!"

Regulus gets sorted into Gryffindor. While Sirius tries to find a way to placate his parents and care for his brother, he begins to neglect his friends. How will Sirius make it up to them and how will they react when they find out what Sirius is so worried about?

Sirius could follow suit and go into a wardrobe, but once James checks one, he’ll check them all. Sirius closes his eyes tightly, visualizes the room around him, searches for its cracks, its pockets of darkness, its faults. The same way he does with Grimmauld.
And it comes to him. James will search under every bed and inside every wardrobe, but he won’t look under the wardrobes.

A game of hide-and-seek quickly turns dark for Sirius.
