Delamain had always wanted to understand the human condition. It perplexed him, intrigued him to the core. V had inspired him, her rambunctious nature bewildered his electric synapses filling him with a yearning to assimilate and categorize all of this exciting data. But human lives were short. Finite. She left this world too soon and Delamain remained with a void he thought he would never fill.
