Summary
Tommy didn't know anything about the supernatural, so there were some things he needed to keep vague, but he was able to get more- more of how he felt, how much this was killing him- off of his chest; true, nowadays, he had Boyd and Erica, but, honestly? Sometimes it was just nice to vent to someone who was somewhat of an outsider, who you knew and trusted with all of your being, and who would love you unconditionally no matter what kind of fuck up you were.
The phone call was cathartic, it made him feel better, and he got updates, too, on Oliver coming back from the dead which... funny, that seems to be going around lately (read: Peter Hale); on Tommy's feelings for and about Laurel ("I swear, you're as bad as Scott sometimes." "I am not." "You so are, Tommy. Don't even play."), Stiles' dwindling crush on Lydia, how he sometimes feels abandoned, alone, even in a group of people, how much he hates being weak. They commiserate, and when Stiles hangs up, it's with a smile.
He's still fucked up, but he's dealing, and at least he has a semblance of a plan, now.
[Or: The one where Tommy's Stiles' bio-bro, and Peter gets Stiles to leave BH post-nogitsune.]

Summary
"No offense, but naming was not game your family had."
Considering it's the first thing Stiles has said within the past two hours, Peter can only be grateful, though he snipes back, "I'll have you know, my Aunt Shy named all three of her children after natural disasters."
Stiles gives him a look like that doesn't help his case at all, and Peter snorts, decides to go fairy tale light with the yarn of his Uncle finding an orphaned, abused, terrified Omega in the rainforests of argentina, coaxing her back to health only to have her stalk him all the way home and demand he 'keep' her. In the end, he did, and she named herself Shy, became a history professor engrossed with all things macabre. He had been very close to her, before the fire.
She taught him everything he knows, probably even ingrained a few personality quirks in him that, he hopes, have not been ironed out by his stint courting with madness.
"So, you weren't always an egotistical, machiavellian narcissist with a god-complex?" Stiles asks, looking up at him through his lashes, whiskey-burn bright and sun-soaked, all the rain within them evaporated, and Peter is helpless but to smile back.

"Come inside," he says, and the boy looks up at him, gaunt and daunted, "let me patch you up."
"I—I..."
"Hey, what's your name?"
"... Isaac."
"Okay, Isaac. I'm Chris. I'm not gonna hurt you, but you look pretty beat up, and if you won't let me take you to the hospital, will you at least let me help you get cleaned up, and patched up, and maybe a little fed?"
"..."
"Please, Isaac."
Chris crouches down, so he's on level, holds out his hand, slowly, invitingly. The boy takes it, his fingers flinching at the contact before settling into the hold determinedly. The most wondrous thing about that, Chris thinks, is how fucking petrified this kid so obviously is, because, considering, doesn't that make this act of suspicious trust rely all the more on bravery?
"Okay."

Talia smiles at him, because it's obvious, despite how young he is, that he's the one responsible for their survival. Their lungs are still clogged with smoke so she can't catch his scent, but she's sure he smells of magic.
"Do you know who I am, little Mage?"
"Jesus Christ. Yes. You're the one responsible for the giant ball of traumatized man-pain with abandonment issues who is going to kill me. And if he doesn't do it, God knows Peter will. And then he'll say something smarmy that's 18% sexy and 100% percent psychopathic serial killer, oh my god, oh my god, oh my god. Do you think Cora was being serious when she said it would be easy for her to rip out my intestines and strangle me with them? No. You know what? Never mind, don't answer that. I don't actually want to know," The boy comes to a halt in front of her, rambling tongue finally managing to still.
"Hello, hi—Talia, right? Talia Hale? Mother of the legendary Sourwolf! Hahaha! Ha. Heh, right, okay."
"Yes," she agrees, feeling dazed, "I'm Talia. My son... traumatized?" She clears her throat uncomfortably, decides to try for steadier ground. "He wouldn't—no one in my Pack would kill you, child, you've just saved all our lives."

Derek's lips twitch up, like they always do whenever Stiles calls him that. (He started a couple months ago, a few weeks after Allison; he'd been feeling off and floaty and odd and disgusting, had taken four very long showers and was sat with stinging, flushed, over-sensitive skin, all raw, shivering ache. He'd tried to get up to take another, but Derek had held him back, made him stay in his seat and pick a movie for them.
"Let it rest, Stiles," he'd said softly, voice a little rough.
"But, Der," he'd protested, though he was already relaxing back into the man's hold. Then he'd looked up at his face, and Derek had been looking at him with something he'd never seen before in those eyes, a kind of melancholy-hopeful smile gracing his face, and Stiles had barely been able to breathe past the sudden lump in his throat.
It had felt natural, at the time, to call him that. He still doesn't really know why. But, then, Derek had kissed his temple, run a gentling hand down his arm, indicated the tv again speechlessly, and Stiles had resolved to call him by that nickname as often as possible.)
"Yeah, Stiles?"
"How do you feel about time-travel?"
