I've ached to let go of the anger, the betrayal. But something in me..." He shook his head, a frown pulling at his brows. "Some dark voice, some instinct, always held me back. Told me I could never forgive you, no matter how much I wanted to."
Azure turned to face Two Time then, his gaze intense and searching. He leaned in closer, his face mere inches from theirs, his breath mingling with their own. "But now, here we are. Alone, just you and me. And I look at you..." His eyes raked over Two Time's form, lingering on every curve and plane. "And I feel... different. The hat is gone, and that rage, that all-consuming fury... it's not there anymore."
