Adrien Agreste is one of Paris' top models at only 15 years old. Though not a lot is known about his life behind the scenes. Adrien is abused verbally and physically by his father. He has also been struggling with trying to fit the mould of society's standards because of his autism. His only escape from the horrible treatment is his hero persona, Chat Noir.
After years of abuse and torture Adrien can't handle his home life any longer he puts a long-term plan in motion. A run-away. The citizens of Paris quickly realised their favourite model, and coincidently the superhero Chat Noir was missing, although Gabriel Agreste refused to bring light to the situation.

Not that the others were bad, but usually their holders were older, bitter from the hardships they endured—and having the embodiment of bad luck with them wasn't much of a consolation. They did their duty and moved on. However, Adrien was young, sweet, and promising. Plagg still had time to save him, even if it meant becoming friends with a human.

It’s risky enough that he’s transforming when his Kwami’s barely responsive and shivering, and it gets even worse when the effects of it get to him. In the end, he snaps.
He is not willing to watch Plagg suffer for anything.

He just wants to fix problems in and out of the mask, but things are quickly growing beyond his meager control. Plagg tries to help in his own way, though Adrien is going to need to dig deep and unsheathe his claws. Cats are known for being independent after all.
