Summary
Left behind at the Misty Palms Oasis, Katara waits days for Aang, Sokka, and Toph to return. But when bounty hunters close in, her only chance at escape comes from the last people she ever thought she could trust: Zuko and Iroh.
Now traveling under false names, bound by a fake marriage, and with no room for mistakes, Katara finds herself on the road to Ba Sing Se. What begins as mutual distrust slowly unravels into eating side by side, sleeping even closer, and something far more dangerous: comfort. She thinks it will end once they reach the city, but in a place crowded with millions of refugees, and stuck in the Lower Ring, she doesn’t have much hope of finding the others. With no leads and nowhere else to go, she resolves to wait for her friends to find her.
But in their cramped apartment, days turn into weeks, and Zuko and Katara begin to settle into something that almost feels like domestic bliss. It isn’t real. Or at least, it isn’t meant to be. But the longer they stay, the harder it becomes to remember where the act ends and something real begins.

Summary
Eleven years after Sozins Comet, and The Avatar brought peace to the world, nothing is the same.
The Avatar is missing. Tui and La are dead and lost to the spirits. Balance is broken.
She’s the last waterbender alive.
Waking up knowing nothing and no one, she has to depend on the scarred stranger calling himself “Lee.” He’s murderous, brooding, and secretive.
Given the name Kya by her companion, she follows Lee on an unknown journey.
Lee must keep her hidden before the Lord of Embers finds her and destroys the already fragile balance.
The Lord of Embers is once again trying to stop the cycle.

Summary
Nearly seven years after Ozai’s defeat, the children who won the war are not children anymore. Keeping peace is far harder than winning wars. Fire Lord Zuko approaches the question of who will be his Fire Lady, and trouble stirs in his nation. Katara confronts the path she has been on with Aang. Toph considers her future inside or outside of the Earth Kingdom, as tensions rise in her homeland. Sokka and Suki grow more fiercely together as the world threatens to pull them apart. The Gaang grows up. Zutara.
Or- the world is complicated and often unkind, but there's still hope for carving desire out of destiny.
note- I haven't read the graphic novels so they're not canon in this story.

Summary
Katara strikes a deal with a Spirit to help find out his unfinished business after he saves her from a demon. Easy, right? Only, Zuko isn't sure what his unfinished business is. Zuko's not even sure how he became a spirit. The longer that they get to know each other, the more Katara is uncertain if she can handle finding out.
