“What do you mean, we aren’t getting our last Christmas?” Leon asked, kneeling in front of her, one hand cradling her cheek while the other rested on her belly. Sophie immediately kicked his hand, an adoring look taking over his face.
“It’s our last Christmas before everything changes, and-” she motioned to the snowstorm raging outside. They typically spent Christmas with Chris and Jill, the five of them spending the day together, but they hadn’t wanted to risk the snow given their own baby wasn’t even quite a year. A fact Claire’s brain understood, but her hormones didn’t.
