He was projecting his omegan self, soft and delicate, only a hint of orchid detectable even to Shaoyou’s refined senses. Now that he knew it was a mask, he thought he might be able to see the edges, the calculation behind his eyes.
“What are you doing here?” Shaoyou calmly demanded, keeping his emotions carefully in check.
With a slow, smooth twist, Hua Yong swung his legs around to put them face to face, still seated elegantly. He was wearing a light cream robe, barefoot, far too much skin on display. “I was waiting for Sheng-xiānsheng at his request. Is something wrong?” he delivered innocently.
