With Zero having drank Kuran’s blood, he smells enough like the ex-humans the Kuran from this time turned, and they didn’t bat an eye at him joining the fighting ranks. He’s only been here for a couple weeks, and they haven’t been called to arms yet, but Zero gets a feeling it’ll happen soon.
He wonders if the Kuran ancestor is off turning more humans into vampires to replace the ones being killed right now.
The executioner goes to reload his gun, but he only puts one last bullet in it. They’re on the last unlucky ex-human of the batch, and with another gunshot, there’s no more level Es in the courtyard.
They hadn’t even been chained up. No one had guided them to the gallows. Kuran, through some freaky pureblood magic, must’ve commanded them to comply, and they did.
Everyone gets back to work.
...Or, Zero is sent back in time to when the Kuran ancestor was the Vampire King.
