Summary
Donatello Hamato lived a hard life, he lost many things- His father, his childhood innocence, his close bond with his siblings and most of all...his sanity. He is now a mere husk of the turtle he once, with a slipping mind and a broken thread of everything he used to be. He is fine though, he promises.
The universe however doesn't believe him when he says so, so it chooses to send him back in time. Donatello doesn't complain, he takes his chance to make the lives of his family better. He chooses not to let them down.
Little does he know just how much his past life's trauma will bleed through....and how much he underestimated his family's love for him.
TL:DR- Donnie is thrown back in time without giving his consent, still he takes the chance to fix things but oops! He's mentally unstable and that scares the shit outta his brothers lol

Summary
After saving New York and driving out the Kraang, Donnie set his focus back to de-mutating an old friend. However after going on his own one night and experiencing a traumatising encounter, Donnie gets back to his normal life with his family as if nothing happened… and then things get worse.
He didn’t think his trauma would come with an addition he never expected.

Summary
Donnie always imagined that after Leo came back, everything would be okay again. Instead, his friendship with Raph stays rocky, his schedule gets even harder to manage, it still feels like he's the only one looking after Mikey and now there's a stranger living with them. It's getting hard to imagine how he could get any more stressed.
Then he wakes up with an awful headache, restrained, in an unfamiliar laboratory. Being restrained or experimented on would be bad enough on its own. Add to the mix that lying on the lab table for days and weeks is the first chance he's had to process everything else that's happened in his family--well, it's not a happy mix.

Summary
Purple represented his perseverance.
In the year that had past after the Kraang's defeat, Donatello is plagued with incessant nightmares and thoughts of the Kraang, of their potential return and of the potential havoc they could wreak upon Earth. He finds himself at a personal impasse with his work, unable to create or invent anything for reasons unclear to him. These all amount to a premonition, clear as day, of the inevitable return of the Kraang.
With no one to stop him in his pursuit, Donnie puts it upon himself to watch his family's back and to prevent any damage the kraang could do.
If these efforts happen to encompass knowledge beyond his comprehension, knowledge he starves for, who is he to refuse it?
It begs the question: when does perseverance become obsession?
