Benji dies and begs Ethan to live. But living is hard when your life has been your work all those years, your friend(?) has left you and forbidden you to follow him and you don't have a clue where to even start.
Featuring an ungodly amount of grief that fades but never disappears, the most adorable eight year old Ethan ever needed, a collection of horrendous post cards, and a certain analyst who shows up in Ethan's life and never leaves again.

They both die at different times and one has to learn to live without the other. but eventually the other dies and they are reunited in the afterlife.

Summary
During a run of the mill mission, Ethan is acting strangely. He is reading a book and sitting still, by his own will, he swayes when he stands up too quickly and his reaction time has lenghtened to 'not actually that fast'. But he tells Benji he's fine, so then he is, right?
Until the mission leads them to a fishing shop and everything goes to shit, leaving Benji to find out what exactly is wrong with him and having to finally deal with Ethan's (and his own) feelings along the way.

On a sixteen hour flight Ethan and Benji have to endure a terribly homophobic man sitting next to them. Being the emotionally mature adults they are, they promptly decide to pretend to be two newlyweds flying towards their perfect honeymoon.
But pretending to have feelings ends up being not that fun, when you actually have those feelings. They figure it out though, and not in the American's favour.
