Summary
While Hyunjin isn’t looking, Felix writes his number on the receipt, folding it up and sticking it inside the book before handing it over. Their fingers brush when Hyunjin grabs it, and his smile widens, thanking Felix in the softest voice.
When Hyunjin disappears back out the door, Felix tilts his head back with a sigh. His heart is fluttering in his chest. It reminds him of a feeling he has read about countless times. Racing heart, sweaty palms, dry mouth, an inexplicable need to be close to someone.
“You gave him your number?” Minho says.
“Was it too forward?” Felix asks, a sudden pit forming in his gut.
“He comes to the city’s most expensive bookstore every week and buys the first book you recommend, having always finished it and – loved it –” He imitates Hyunjin’s voice, “so, no, not too forward, but what’s the point?”---
In a world where everyone dreams of their past lives and soulmates find each other in every life, Felix doesn’t know what it’s like to dream, and he has been alone for a long time.

“Does this have anything to do with your man at home?” Chan asks softly, leaning forward on his chair.
“It has everything to do with him.” Hyunjin says. “I’ve never seen him so… It’s like the lights have gone out. He isn’t the sunshine we all know and love right now. And I guess I should have prepared for this to happen, because he loves being outside, nature, sunlight, warmth, life. That hasn’t changed, and without it…” He trails off, scared of voicing his true thoughts.
“He’s depressed.” Chan fills in for him.
“I don’t know what to do. I have tried to get him as close to the sun as I safely can, but he just cries. He can’t even see the sun through the window or peeking out of the curtains without breaking.”
“I wondered if this would happen.” Chan says thoughtfully.
“Of course you did, you think of everything. Meanwhile I was entirely unprepared.”---

Hyunjin turns to Felix. “What did hyung ask?”
“He was asking if we have any reason to be nervous.” Felix says. He doesn’t laugh at the misunderstanding, seeing how much it bothers Hyunjin. He has been deaf in his left ear for as long as he can remember, and most of the time it doesn’t bother him, but some days it really gets to him.
“And I said yes.” Hyunjin shakes his head at himself, lowering his gaze. If he could hear properly, he wouldn’t have made them late for soundcheck, and he wouldn’t have annoyed Changbin and misunderstood his question.---

Summary
At first, it’s just a feeling, a warmth that starts in his chest and spreads through his limbs, all the way to his fingers and toes. It feels safe and comforting. There’s a flash of an image, dark hair, smooth skin and soft lips, full of love, affection and care.
He can almost feel the soft lips from his memory against his own. Felix touches his lips with a finger, and they tingle with the memory. He can feel the person’s closeness like they’re with him, but when his eyes open, he’s still alone.
It suddenly hits him. The face in his memories becomes clear, Hyunjin. His lips subconsciously form around the name, the sound of it leaving him in a rush of air, like it is punched out of him.---
After a brain injury, Felix forgot his entire life, but slowly, he is starting to remember
