"It didn’t take much time after the boys had scattered for Castiel to realize what happened. Sam and Dean had obviously become upset after being reminded that the holiday celebrating one’s mother was imminent, being forcibly reminded that they had no mother. Being Winchesters, they were not properly emotionally equipped to deal with their grief, instead choosing to retreat into solitude and brood. The question now, was what to do about it."

But he finds the bed empty and chilly on Henry's side, and his heart rate picks up without his permission. He closes his eyes and takes a deep breath, and the post-it dislodges and flutters across his face and into the bedding. He opens his eyes. No need to panic yet, he reminds himself firmly (read: feebly); Henry at least left a note this time—a small consolation if he's gone and—

I just think that it will come across as more authentic. Our characters would look fucking desperate because we would be. Imagine all that unresolved tension.”
Henry pulls away, leaning back to support himself on his elbows. He looks at Alex consideringly, and Alex stares back, settling his weight on Henry’s thighs, waiting it out.
“Three weeks,” Henry says, tracing a finger over Alex’s shin. “I don’t think we’ve gone that long without sleeping together ever since we’ve gotten together.”
“We haven’t,” Alex agrees. “Now, imagine how that’d look on screen, baby. We’d leave everyone speechless.”
