Harvey clapped him on the shoulder.
It was a nothing gesture. A throwaway. The kind of thing Harvey Specter did when he was half-distracted, maybe vaguely approving, and mostly ready to move on. But Mike felt it like a flare.
Warmth.
His breath caught for half a second, but Harvey was already walking away, talking, issuing a command probably, something about court filings or witnesses or don’t screw this up.
Mike stood there, heart beating so loud it muffled the world for a moment.

Summary
It was 3 a.m. when Eddie felt the mattress dip. His senses sharpened as he blinked awake, the room dimly lit by the soft glow of the moon filtering through the curtains. His eyes adjusted to the sight of Buck, who was silently climbing into bed beside him, already undressed down to a pair of shorts. Buck hadn’t said a word. Eddie sat up slightly, confused, still trying to shake off the remnants of sleep.
“Buck?” His voice was hoarse, laced with concern as he squinted through the darkness. “What are you doing here?”
For a moment, Buck didn’t respond. He just lay there, staring up at the ceiling, breathing too quickly for someone who was supposed to be calm.

Outside his window, Athena stood with her arms crossed, one eyebrow arched, watching him with something between exasperation and concern.
"You gonna come inside, or are you planning on sleeping out here in the driveway?"
Buck swallowed, his throat scratchy and raw. "I was just—"
"About to drive off?" she finished for him, her voice dry but not unkind. "Looking like that? Buck, honey."
