Xie Lian finds himself caught in a typhoon, stranded across the city with no way home. When his plans fall through, he turns to Hua Cheng for help.

Summary
He frowned, wiping a hand across his face. Was it over? No, that didn’t make sense. Curses didn’t just stop like that, especially not the kind tied to the Sunken Ghost City. Cautiously, he pushed himself to his feet and climbed the ladder back to the deck, every step feeling heavier than the last.
When he emerged into the open air, Xie Lian stopped short. The crimson sky had faded, replaced by a dull, overcast gray. The blood rain had stopped entirely, leaving only dark stains streaked across the deck and pooling in the cracks between the planks. The sea was unnervingly still, the waves subdued as if holding their breath.
How odd.
Captain Xie Lian has a ship held together by hope, reputation for endless bad luck, and a curse that seems to follow him across every tide. He’s long since made peace with solitude—until a strange melody leads him to something (or someone) glittering beneath the waves. Now, between unexpected rescues, flustered misunderstandings, and one very persistent sea creature who won’t stop calling him gege, Xie Lian might be in deeper waters than he ever expected.

Summary
The ceremony lasts one day in Heaven and one day in the ghost realm, but the partying doesn’t stop there. In fact, seven days after the Flower-Crowned Martial God and the Ghost King are officially wedded, it seems as though the festivities have only just begun.
Hua Cheng traces the rim of his glass, pensive. Then, he tightens his hold around Xie Lian's shoulders and downs it in one swing. “I’ll bet on a kiss. With tongue and everything,” he makes sure to add.

“I swear on my life I am not here to hurt you,” came the voice again.
Silence.
Xie Lian slowly poked his small ferret head out of the leaf pile.
“Why are you giving me free eggs?” he asked suspiciously, one of the leaves now balanced on his head like a bamboo hat.
It is forbidden to ask what a person turns into at night.
By day, they remain human. When the sun sets: an animal form, unique to each person. Day and night are separate worlds and separate lives. It is the greatest, most unbreakable taboo to know a person’s nightform. And even more dangerous for Xie Lian, as he is cursed.
But one night in the forest, he meets a fox. A very powerful fox, who seems hell bent on protecting him at all costs. And the very next day, he meets a man calling himself San Lang.

He had waited 800 years after all. Waiting a few more for this filthy-looking mutt to eventually cease to exist wouldn't be so hard, right?
However, even knowing that didn’t stop the ghost king from sulking the entire night after tucking himself into bed.
In which Xie Lian takes in a stray puppy and unintentionally neglects the other (huge) puppy he has at home.

Summary
Xie Lian and Hua Cheng take their time with a lot of things. Xie Lian, for one, was beginning to understand the luxury of lying in bed and sleeping the morning away. Hua Cheng thought it was luxury to have his god draped over him like a cat seeking warmth.
