Nate can’t stop staring at his right winger. He’s rarely seen such elite hockey played in his life; he can probably only point to a couple right wingers in the league who are better than this guy. Maybe it’s just an extra dominant performance tonight, the kind you get from someone who’s desperate to finally get NHL time and prove they’re capable before being sent down again.
Nate shrugs it off and turns back to watch the game progress. He tries to sneak a peek at the back of his winger’s jersey to figure out his name, but it’s partially obscured every time he tries.
Finally, he gets a good look at his winger’s jersey.
96 - Rantanen.
Hmm. Well, one mystery solved, at least. He’s still not sure who the guy is, but at least he knows his last name now.

Geralt realizes, quite suddenly, that Jaskier is aging. He desperately asks the mages for any possible solution, something that could make Jaskier not so terribly mortal, and he finds his answer in an old elven ritual. Geralt decides to use this on Jaskier and himself. He can share his slow aging with Jaskier, and he won’t have to lose the person who, aside from Ciri, might be most important to him.
He just has to make sure that Jaskier doesn’t figure out that they are, technically, getting married.
