She asked, “Why wouldn’t we?”

Summary
Five's fist hurt. He realized, blood running down them from his nails. His, abnormally long nails. Why were they so long?
He felt something jab his arm, practically jumping back in shock, now huddled completely inside the box. The touch to his arm made him feel less numb, the person was warm. He, was cold. Freezing cold.
"I was just trying to move you out of the snow so you don't freeze to death," The man stated, looking concerned. "Are you alright?" He repeated. His hair was slightly long, dark and he had a small, attempt at a beard.
Five didn't know what to say.
"Where are your parents? They're bound to be worried, missing someone like you."
Someone.. like him? What is this jackass talking about?
He stared at him for a minute. The man crouched down next to him, almost hovering over him. "I.." He practically squeaked out, and man did he hate how utterly pathetic it sounded. "What do you.. mean?"
