Tsukasa hadn’t expected much when Nene had said she wanted to introduce him to her childhood friend. To be fair, why would he? He’d only agreed to it because she’d said he could help out with the drama society’s upcoming performance, and from the way she’d described him, he’d been expecting some mad scientist guy who lives in someone’s basement, a weirdo without a single social skill, not… him.
(And maybe that’s a little prejudiced of him, but, in his defence, what else are you supposed to assume when you’re about to meet someone who apparently makes robots for a living?)

Infatuation was something that Tsukasa was familiar with, but not from personal experience. Self absorbed, perhaps arrogant at times. But the step beyond the line of obsession was foreign. Tsukasa did love and care for things such as his friends, sister, and performing. Though they never took over. This was why Rui was such an anomaly.
