Summary
Quatre laughs and he’s supposed to. Trowa is a clown. He’s flopped on his ass with shaving cream on his face from a pie to the face. It’s part of a new act he’s trying. Simple physical comedy with a twist. He balances a pie atop the juggling pins, weaving through the other clowns, a tightrope, and narrowly missing a collision with Dora the Dancing Dog, before tripping on the strongman’s dumbbell and falling on his ass, pie in the face. End performance. Applause.
But Quatre laughs himself to tears, clapping, getting up from the upside-down bucket-turned-seat. It’s not part of the act for him to hold out a hand to Trowa. It’s not part of the act for Trowa to accept it. And it’s not part of the act for Quatre to wipe Trowa’s face with a handkerchief.
Nor for Trowa’s heart to do its own flip flop onto its ass...

“I need something from you,” he murmurs, maybe to the ground because his eyes are boring into the floor.
I sigh, still reeling, but I politely answer, “Yes, of course, Wufei. My friends are always welcome-”
“Are we friends?” He counters, eyes snapping to me in their intensity. Honestly, I don’t like how he’s looking at me…or maybe how he looks at anyone. There's arrogance. There’s boredom. There’s an intensity designed to push everyone away.
“Yes,” I lie, because there’s a half-truth in there.
His lips slightly sneer, at the edges, but instead of cruel words, he shocks me again by saying, “I need you to touch me…. It shouldn’t be a problem, right? Because you’re gay. Because we’re friends?”

Aziraphale could never get the eyes right.
He had given up on the color a long time ago. Yellow was of course grossly inaccurate, as was any variation of orange, ocher, amber, or even gold that he had experimented with. Aziraphale had always thought that Crowley’s eyes looked like gold on fire. Capturing that on paper was a fool’s errand.
So Aziraphale restricted himself to sketches. Centuries of colorless sketches, all done from memory of course.

Aziraphale draws Crowley sometimes. He knows he shouldn't, but he can't help it. He would never let Crowley see one of these drawings of course...

Nearly simultaneously, two thoughts had immediately crossed Aziraphale’s mind the moment their lips had touched.
First: This is mad. This is impossible. Or: this is only possible because Crowley believes that loathsome demon Ferngully (?) to have the photograph. A task he’d very nearly succeeded at, if not for Aziraphale. A task that Aziraphale had been excited to reveal, and now, in a tragic turn of events, it’s the very thing he needs to keep hidden if he wants to continue kissing Crowley.
Which leads him to his second realization: Crowley cannot, under any circumstances, discover the photograph.
