Summary
They’d been together for a long time, they knew they wanted to spend their lives with each other, they’d made plans for their future together. They’d been happily cohabitating for a number of years and knew they made good life partners. Logically, they should get married. That’s what people do.
But something about that didn’t sit right with Nancy. She didn’t understand it and Nancy was not capable of doing things she didn’t understand. She had to investigate.

“So, when did Lucy show up again?” She knew that she maybe should be more focused on her own personal three year memory loss, but this was a thread she had already started pulling on and she needed to see it through.
Ace looked even more heartbroken, which Nancy didn’t think was possible. He reached for her hand again and she let him take it. Curse be damned (wait, are we still cursed?) she needed the grounding of his touch right now, and she could tell he needed it too.
“Nancy... Lucy is...” He was looking at their hands, bringing his other one up to sandwich hers. “I’m not talking about your mother.”
