Summary
Over a year After Ash’s death, Eiji has not been doing well. Sing convinces him to come back to New York in hopes it will make him feel at least slightly better. Unbeknownst to Eiji, Lynxes have nine lives.
(Ash has faked his death in hopes Eiji would move on. He wasn’t prepared for it to make everything worse. He has a lot to make up for.)

"I'm sorry," Eiji whispers when Ash's breathing has almost quieted.
"What?" Ash asks, and he doesn't sound mad, only surprised. Of course he doesn't. It's Ash, and he's Eiji, and even when Ash is mad, he's protective.
Eiji refuses to open his eyes, burying his head into the pillow. "I'm sorry I made you kiss me." Now, that word is easy to get out, effortless, because it's not a plea but something spit out in frustration.
"Made me- what?"

He was breathtaking. God, he looked like he didn’t belong in this world. He should be up in the sky somewhere, probably一Astronomers tracking his path across the universe and drawing him up in textbooks, satellites circling him to take photos and bring them back home. That suited him better than being here in this building in the middle of New York, on this couch, with Eiji.
Five times Eiji took a photo of Ash when he looked beautiful and one time he didn't because--spoiler--he kisses him instead :)
