Rue takes a big inhale of the smoke clinging to his shirt to calm herself. The disquiet in her stomach settles. Maybe Fezco has her so trained that being in his presence was enough to trigger a high. Pavlovian shit. She looks up into his eyes, a million questions on the tip of his tongue, she’d answer “Yes” to every one of them if it means she can get what she wants.
