Summary
Athras and Tallis aren't friends.
They work together because they have to, they're two out of four parts of Unit Viper, a team sent to work against the Dread Wolf.
They happen to sleep together on a regular basis, but it's purely physical. Just taking care of a need. Anything more was unnecessary and asking for hurt. Athras goes to meet Tallis as usual but things don't follow their typical routine.

Initiating was always the hard part, with March. As bull-headed as he came off to many, March hesitated when it came to anything that somebody had not invited or asked him to do. He liked clear instruction, clear expression of intent. Ryis picked up on this quite early on in their friendship, and just as quickly noticed that March seemed especially beholden to /his/ requests.

Summary
Nick Wolfwood is the new director of Conrad-Chapel Funeral Home in May City, located across the street from Saverem Greenhouse & Landscaping. Over time, the owner, Vash, gets to know Nick and introduces him to the rest of the neighborhood, including local busybodies and married feminist bookshop owners Meryl and Milly. Vash and Nick are inexorably drawn to each other until they have to start admitting their feelings.
But Vash's brother, co-owner of the garden center, hasn't left his past as far behind as the twins had hoped when they started their lives over in May.

absolutely beautiful. really eloquent and educated writing. very good at showing instead of telling, expert use of limited knowledge narration
author has really intentional perspective on disabled relationships and differences. it felt me feel seen. very natural story telling and the environment is so developed, if i didn't know this was a trigun fic it would be an amazing original work too.
emphasis on communication between the characters was really nice to see. no getting lost in the moment pushing boundaries or assumptions with intimacy -
