It’s weird, but that’s how we are.” He shrugged. “And watching something sad with someone is kinda about the shared experience. Like, ‘I’m bawling my eyes out but at least I’m bawling my eyes out with you.’ Or whatever.”
“Hm.” Connor nodded slowly. “Okay, but I’m not going to fake-cry for you.”
