Summary
Sukuna was selfish and greedy by birth, and Yuuji belonged to her. Yuuji’s pleasure, happiness, sadness and desire were all hers. If Yuuji were to spare some, it would be because Sukuna allowed her to; everything Sukuna could take was because Yuuji gave it willingly, but she would even if Yuuji didn’t. She didn’t take no for an answer and Yuuji didn’t know how to say no to her.
Nanami-sensei, as others had been, was entertainment for them both. A game they indulged in once in a while when Yuuji’s unending interest for the world pulled at her heartstrings like a wild horse. Yuuji followed every time, keeping them tied to the world outside until Sukuna severed those ties. Every game they played had to be under Sukuna’s rules, and Yuuji bowed to them always.

They said that stanning starts with wanting to know a name. Megumi wondered what the label was for him, someone who now knew Yuuji’s name, his height, blood type, and favorite food. He knew the name of his dog and his two siblings, what time he woke up and when he went to sleep based on his online activity. Hell, what would be said about him, who had covered his walls with posters of Yuuji, pictures of him he’d printed from Instagram, spent more time staring at those pictures than he did actually living out his life?
And yet, Megumi still needed more. This parasocial relationship he had with Yuuji was no longer enough to sustain him; he wanted their relationship to extend beyond the screen, to not be so one-sided.
He needed Yuuji to know him, too.
