Summary
Toji didn’t take you as interesting enough to be looked at. Elbow on the bar, cheek propped in a fist, while smoke trailed and hovered from the corner of his mouth: “Just thought you’d like a second opinion on this. Before you blow a shot in the dark, take yourself in the leg.”
“You don’t strike me as the type to think twice,” words came out more honeyed than they sounded in your mind. Like silk, your gaze brushed the path from jaw to shoulder, rested a bit longer where his T-shirt lined the skin.
There was pride in his voice, in how his cheekbone reached eyelashes and his lip hiked to match. “I don’t hit twice.”
(staring down at the blood on your hands, it’s hard to believe things would ever get back to as they were. but when you cross paths with someone twice as rotten, you cannot but hope he’ll help you clean them.)

Summary
rumour has it he's a remarkable mind with a promising future in literary circles. when you stumble upon his infamous group of second-years at a top college in tokyo, it seems like it's the first time you live with a real purpose.
but insulating yourself from the tedious constraints of the world can be misleading, and playing god didn't end well in any story you've ever read. not even in yours.

Summary
“So you did miss me.” Pushes glasses a little lower on the bridge, so that you get a fugitive view of the brightest blue you’ve ever seen. Contention flickers in his eyes and arches his mouth into a grin. “How sweet.”
“Would I squeeze your ego, if I said I did?” you ask.
Their chuckle is soft, almost silent. “It takes some more effort to do that, peach.”
(gojo isn't admittedly that much of a coffee enthusiast, but it's this coffee shop he's been drawn to for months. you wish he hadn't found it in the first place.)

Summary
izaya never fret about faking an attempt at double-suicide; shizuo was always pinned for things he didn't do, but in no case as an accomplice.

Summary
“Hope I didn’t sign up my death sentence by this.” Shinra scratched an ear, and his glasses flinched a shade.
Words were cold on Izaya’s lips, like the wine he grabbed by the stem and started to swirl in silent waves. “Come on, what kind of monstrosity do you think I am?”
The response didn’t come too quickly.
“People would say Satan himself, but I think ‘info-broker’ sounds worse.” Shrugged, smile clearer than pond water. “So I’m gonna stick with ‘info-broker’.”
(people always came to izaya with free issues to untangle, and shinra was the only person izaya could ever open up to. old memories arose.)
