Summary
Eugene is determined to ensure the survival of himself and Varian after they crash-land in a wintry forest and are brought to a foreboding dark castle by a team of unknown rescuers. His task becomes a lot more difficult when he discovers that the lady of the castle is an old enemy of Corona, with her own plans and schemes.

Summary
After the defeat of Zhan Tiri, Varian, Rapunzel, and Eugene are ready for a nice, quiet retirement. However, trouble rears it's ugly head as a visiting King from a neighboring land stirs up trouble for the resident alchemist. When Varian is stolen away from Corona in the middle of the night, he finds that the man has a connection not only to his past, but to his mother, and most importantly to Varian himself. Alone in hostile territory, with enemies closing in all around him, Varian is left with two choices.
