Summary
Stanford Pines was a man of science, one that desperately needed to unravel the mysteries of his planet of origin: Gravity Falls. He had heard so many rumors, legends and tales being shared around the dinner table, with some of those stories having been told by his brother Stanley, a man who albeit didn't have such a grandiose purpose or desire to know the truth, still found the anecdotes to be intriguing at the very least.
He instead desired to seek adventure, thrilling journeys that would let him see more of the world and experience something more than just a regular life, something he wished to share with his brother. But alas... both of them went their separate ways, with Stanley instead leaving his dreams behind and taking over a ranch, only going through the motions of an ordinary life.
Stanford however had gone through the complete opposite of what he wished for, finding himself to instead have become a wanted criminal, one that sent shivers down the spines of men, women, children and anyone else in between and without finding any answers to the mysteries of Gravity Falls.
Now, will Stanford and Stanley be able to be together again? And will Stanford find redemption at the end of his journey?

“So.” Ford drums his fingers on the car steering wheel. “This cross-state road trip. Is that, uh, part of the whole ‘making amends’ thing?”
“Nope.” Pops Bills, which is floating-triangle-pretending-to-be-a-car-freshener speak for yes, and you’re going to hate every minute of it.

Summary
"Kid,” Bones starts, then pauses until Jim looks at him. “You gotta give it up.”
But Jim can’t, and they both know it. He’s too smart for his own good. Can’t back away from a fight, can’t walk past a problem that needs solving. And Spock is like a walking problem — a puzzle where Jim can’t quite manage to make the pieces fit, no matter how hard he tries.
