Summary
Attending ParkCiv High wasn't for the weak. In order to survive, you had to abide by what was expected of your social group. Even being at the very top meant that eyes were constantly on you, and more importantly, those bitter at the bottom were waiting for you to slip up and fall down to their layer. Not that Evbo knew anything about being anywhere near the top of ParkCiv's social hierarchy, though he'd certainly dreamed of somehow managing to rise the ranks, despite it never having been done before.
It isn't until he's tasked to observe social dynamics and is paired up by default with a classmate he's never met before (and soon realises he can't stand) that he both finally discovers the truth to ranking up, and how, maybe, being at the top wasn't nearly as fun as it looked from the bottom.

Eileen is back, along with everyone else, and Sam is really happy.
Dean knows this, because every time Sam turns to Dean, he doesn’t know what expression to make. Dean can see the conflict on his brother’s face— he watches as Sammy tries for compassionate, fails, and tries again for resigned. He fails, again. He looks like he’s play-acting at sympathy.
(He isn’t, though. Dean knows he isn’t, because Sam isn’t like...that. He already knows how to be a person, how to react correctly. Dean never has.)
Dean lets his brother off the hook, though. He hasn’t lost what Dean’s lost.
Sam lost a friend-- a good one-- and Jack.
And Dean?
Dean lost a kid he was too self-absorbed and cowardly to claim, to really love. And he lost… Cas.
