Summary
When I pushed open the door, I couldn't see anything at first. The red light didn't reach Dallas's bed, and all the light he had was from the street light outside. But, it was enough when my eyes adjusted.
Dallas Winston was lying on his back, head thrown into the singular pillow laying behind him, the other under his hips. His knees were propped up and spread wide.

Summary
Reaching out to the man Mom cheated on Pop with eleven years ago is a move that Mason’s coach would call a “Hail Mary”. Mason knows it. He does.
And yeah, it’s pretty damn desperate. But the thing is, Mason is getting pretty damn close to losing his mind out here. “Desperate” is starting to feel like something of an understatement.
Mason only knows one solid thing about the identity of the man Mom cheated with, and it’s from the arguments Mom and Pop had: Winston. The guy is named Winston.
