Summary
The smell of old books and the soft hum of quiet conversations feel like a refuge from the storm pouring outside. The bookstore is small, with just a few square rooms and walls full of books.
But once he ascends the steps to the second floor, Alex finds himself among the azure heavens. Painted in gleaming gold, planets spiral in their orbits towards the sun, as tiny golden stars assume their places in constellations on the splendid ceiling.
He lets his head fall back as his eyes marvel at the hand-painted mural of constellations, stars, and planets—modelled after the ceiling of a music room of a certain German villa.
He thinks of cerulean blue eyes and the reflection of Orion in them.
Or: Seven years ago, Alex and Henry split up, unable to conquer the distance between them.
Today they bump into each other in a bookstore in New York. Both of them are wearing wedding rings on their fingers, but neither one has the ring on his left hand.

Summary
One of the world’s largest retailers is opening a store on his street. A bookstore. He looks down at the article in his hand again and catches sight of a phrase: “We hope that people will see this as more than a bookstore, and hope to foster a sense of community.” As if Henry Fox-Mountchristen has any concept of what community means.
