Summary
Eugene Ottinger is in trouble.
Partially of his own making. Partially because his boyfriend is a total, complete idiot.
It had been a stupid slip months ago — he’d been talking to them on the phone, distracted, and somehow “friend” had come out as “boyfriend.” Since then, they'd been relentless. They wanted to meet him. It's not like he could say their excitement was entirely unexpected. After all, Eugene's never brought home a friend. Let alone a boyfriend. It was sweet, how much they cared. And Eugene would totally bring Pugsley home.
If Pugsley wasn't so...Pugsley.
Eugene doesn't think he's being unfair. How is he seriously supposed to bring home the guy who eats bugs, has a strong interest in medieval torture devices, and once brought back a zombie as a pet?
OR
Pugsley meets Eugene's moms. It doesn't go as swimmingly as Eugene hoped.

Summary
Pugsley hadn’t heard half of what he said. He didn't dare interrupt either. He just stared at him, nodding, watching Eugene’s hands move, the way his eyes lit up, the way his words tripped over themselves trying to keep up with his thoughts. He seemed so alive, in a way that made Pugsley's both jump and settle at the same time. It hit Pugsley then.
This was it. He was it.
Not scary. Not confusing. Just certain.
_____
"So how long were you losing your mind over me for?""Pugsley."
"No seriously, did you ask around? Did you agonise over my absence? Did your mind replay the terrible possibility that I could've been hurt?"
"I kind of want to hurt you right now," Eugene tells him flatly.
"Ooh, yes, please!"
"Freak. You're a lot better when you're not talking, you know that, right?"

Summary
It shouldn't bother him anymore.
It was over a year ago. Why should it have a hold on him now? It'd be pathetic to keep agonising over it. Only a child would be scared of what hides in the dark and jumps from the shadows. It's gone. Everyone thinks of him as a hero now.
Eugene repeats those same affirmations in his head like a mantra, but he himself is tired of the repetition. Who is he fooling? Certainly not himself. The Hyde still lingers - in his dreams, in his head, everywhere he goes. He's not a hero in the eyes of others, he's a boy who happened to appear at the right time with an army of bees. He's not the focus, he never will be. That much is clear whenever Wednesday, to her disdain, is fawned over for her heroic endeavour, while Eugene's reminding people of his name.
There's one person he never has to remind. And it's the guy who keeps following him around like he did last year, only this time, without the shared duty of housing a zombie. And...well, Eugene lets him follow with fewer complaints now. And the guy won't leave him at night, no matter how much Eugene shoves at him.

Summary
Love these two right now - here's basically every fic I've ever written about them.
Over here you'll mostly see hurt/comfort, fluff, angst (but usually with a happy ending because i can't STAND sad endings), that sort of thing.
I also like focusing on the trauma these two went through during the show (especially Eugene) so expect tons of those references.
