Summary
They'd entertained the thought before: imagined little scenarios in their head where they'd grip his throat with taut hands, squeezing as he struggled beneath them, betrayal etched across his face. They would watch as Siffrin's breath weakened and their eyes grew lidded. He'd stop fighting, eventually, and just stare at them with this sort of quiet sorrow in his eyes.
And then they'd die. Loop would feel them still beneath them, so anticlimactic it hardly felt like the end. Then they would start laughing, because Siffrin was just as unbreathing as they were, so they had to be the same person, still! Just stupid, dead Siffrin, ha! Ha.
Their hands ached to wrap around his throat even now. Instead, they found their way beneath his cloak, gently unclasping his dagger from its sheath.
The blade fit into their hands perfectly. They lacked the callouses they'd once had, so they could trace the grooves along the hilt, rough as sandpaper beneath their fingers. It felt like coming home.
Months after Loop began travelling with Siffrin, they see the ghosts of their old party in town. They make a decision.

Summary
When Loop makes their wish, they aren't sent to the start of Siffrin's loops. Instead, they wake up on the day the King sieged the House, bound to Siffrin's side by their wish.
They aren't particularly fond of reliving the best and worst year of their life, but the Universe has led them here. They've long since learned they can only follow.
And so, begrudgingly, Loop and Siffrin become traveling partners. It's not an easy thing adjusting to the company, but they manage. Even as Vaugarde freezes, time keeps flowing. Life goes on.
Things get a little more complicated when the rest of the actors join the cast.

But when he confronts Kris, it turns out Kris has a lot more to confess than Berdly ever expects.

Sunny and Basil have become shut-ins, Aubrey's moving on, and Hero hasn't gotten out of bed in weeks. He wants to help, but he doesn't know how to. Everything Kel tries only seems to make things worse, pushing the people he loves further away instead of bringing them in close.
Kel's been alone, but it's fine. He's...fine.
Or OP really just *needed* to write about Kel's cemetery confession.
