   Summary

   Eugenides succumbs to Helen’s plans and marries Agape. When he steals the Queen of Attolia, she gets a choice between death or a marriage to Temenus. Knowing the future of her kingdom is on the line, she accepts, but finds herself retreating ever further behind the walls of her own making.
