Ever since he was old enough to stand on his own feet, Yanqing had been far more acquainted with various blades than he was with people. His swords could not lie, his swords could not feel anger or disappointment— they would not leave him if they were given the chance.

Summary
As the pasta boiled over the stove, Al-Haitham decided that from now on, Kaveh would be cooking his own food– to prevent Al-Haitham from ever having to make monstrosities such as peanut butter and jelly spaghetti ever again.

Summary
“You look good,” Al-Haitham mutters into the soft skin of Kaveh’s cheek, chest tightening at the way she can feel it heat beneath her lips.
Kaveh pulls back, bodies pressed together as she forces eye contact with the scholar who holds her so tenderly, as though Kaveh is a fragile relic. “Just good?”
Al-Haitham reels.
No, she thinks. Heavenly. Ethereal. Irresistible. Ravishing. All of Al-Haitham’s linguistic knowledge floods her at that moment, words piling in her mind, racing to the front, mixing and morphing into anything and everything she can think of to describe the empyrean figure that is offering herself so graciously.

Summary
“You’re crying, honey,” Tighnari says quietly, breaking Collei from her thoughts with a gentle hand on her face, wiping away the tears that pour from her eyes.
Collei sniffs. Involuntarily, she leans into his touch. “Am I selfish, Baba?” The name slips out before she can stop it, but Collei makes no effort to backtrack.
Tighnari’s gaze softens to something melancholy, and the emotion that fills it is so intense that Collei has to tear her eyes away before she begins to sob.

Summary
The floor beneath the two of them disappeared as more and more of Tighnari’s hair fell from his head, but all he could focus on was the gentle tugs on his scalp and the careful guidance of his head by fingers pressed to his temples and a quiet voice – “Look down,” they’d say, and Tighnari would obey like it was second nature to follow the lilt of Kaveh’s voice.

Summary
For the first time in their nation, the court faced the unthinkable, the possibility of a fractured succession. Dark Choco, the only heir to King Dark Cacao was still young–no more than twelve–but already bore the grim scars of battle and, more recently, a near-fatal accident that had shaken the kingdom to its core.
The council chambers rang with debate, voices overlapping like clashing blades.
Then a voice spoke–one of the oldest councilors, hunched with age but sharp in mind.
“There is precedent,” the elder said, voice dry like cracking parchment. “In times of succession crisis. An old custom, before your reign, Your Majesty. When lines were too thin, or cursed by misfortune… a second wife was permitted. For the necessity of lineage.”
.
.
.Or, Affogato is as ambitious as ever, only this time he finds different methods of securing his power over the Dark Cacao Kingdom.

Summary
He poured himself a glass of wine. Just one. Maybe he’d swipe a bit, amuse himself, feel better.
Instead, he got more annoyed. One man sent him four messages in a row before he even replied. Another addressed him as “my chocolate prince.” Affogato very nearly threw his phone across the room.
And then, something caught his eye, a username.
DarkCacao. It was also the name of the nickname, which he tilted his head at, the nicknames he saw so far on other profiles were… something. It was a name with zero flair, no puns, no sugar metaphors. Just a sleek profile: minimalistic, no age listed, only a few pictures that seemed to blur more than they revealed. But the messages? They were…
*Good evening. I hope this message finds you well. Your profile suggests you have both taste and purpose—a rare pairing."
Affogato blinked. He read it twice. No unsolicited pictures. No pet names. Just… manners.

.
.Or, Affogato's attempts at making a life for himself outside his home country don't go the way he planned. Turns out the city life is harder than it looks, even for a man with his charm and intellect. His life is changed by a dating app.
