    Summary

After Fatui Harbinger Scaramouche decides on a whim to make his favorite guard pleasure him, he wasn't expecting anything out of it other than a few moments of pleasure and an opportunity to crack the unflappable samurai's mask. But as the two find themselves drawn to each other again and again, Scaramouche quickly realizes that it's all escaping from his control: their relationship is going in directions he never would have imagined, his emotions feel like they're no longer his own, and his goals, once so set in stone... even they are starting to slip from his fingers, replaced by scarlet eyes and feelings that he himself can't quite understand.

    Summary

P.S. — Lately I’ve been having this recurring dream. A youth of conceptual death stands by the old dock. He emerges from the ocean, I infer, with eyes the same color as yours. I fail to recall what he came for, but I imagine it is me. I hope it is.

Kaedehara Kazuha is the sole attendant of a lighthouse that once belonged under his family's name. He is trapped, metaphorically and physically, by the isolated island the lighthouse resides on and the grief of his friend's passing: He cannot leave the island, because that is where Tomo is. That is—until a certain stranger appears during the night within the chaos of storm and sea, seeking refuge from his own travails.

a.k.a. Kazuha is a mortal lighthouse keeper afraid of thunder, Scaramouche is a runaway siren, and a lighthouse is falling apart.

At 22, Diluc only has himself, his anxiety, and a pocket watch inherited from his father that sometimes distracts him from loneliness. Hovering between college and a shitty job, he barely ever rests, and whatever free time he has he spends hunting for the truth about his father’s death.

His life implodes when he is attacked by a strange beast on his way home from work. If it weren’t for Kaeya, a beautiful knight summoned from the past, Diluc would have been monster dinner.

Neither Diluc nor Kaeya know why Mondstadt is suddenly bustling with monsters that hunt adepts of magic, but one thing is sure: they can count on each other.

    And they will need to.

    Summary

“There’s no way anyone would actually go down into a basement that looked like that. Even if my daughter was missing, I’d have to nope the fuck outta that one.” Lance says it conversationally, like he’s totally casual with the eerie scene playing out on the screen. But Keith has been watching him out of the corner of his eye for a while now, finding a secret sort-of solace in the fact that even Lance is sitting on the edge of the couch, biting his lip raw with anxiety for the next plot twist of the movie. It’s a beautiful kind of irony.

    “I would. Ghosts aren’t real.”

“I’m literally sitting right here.” Lance counters, but there’s no real bite behind the words. Keith shrugs his shoulders, tossing another handful of popcorn into his mouth.

    “Horror movie ghosts aren’t real.”

    “You don’t know that.”

    --

Keith buys a rickety old house despite everyone's warnings and find himself with a roommate that doesn't pay rent. Or eat. Or breathe.
